How does Wyllo identify a fraudulent order?

Wyllo’s multi-layered solution analyzes thousands of data points fusing machine learning with human intelligence to provide you with the most precise results. We utilize historical, behavioral and order data in real time to derive a simple actionable result: Pass or Fail.

Which industries does Wyllo serve?

Wyllo serves merchants in a diverse range of online verticals, including fashion and apparel, health and beauty, home goods, supplements, sporting goods, automotive, electronics, luxury goods,  shoes, pet care, wine and spirits, furniture, and more.

What types of orders does Wyllo review and guarantee?

Wyllo can screen all “card-not-present” orders placed using a credit card, debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Alipay, Amazon Pay, and more, as well as phone orders, using a specific process. We also offer an optional Chargeback Guarantee.

How long does it take for Wyllo to screen an order?

Wyllo screens orders in real time. We consolidate all relevant and available information about a transaction and return a “Pass/Fail” answer in milliseconds, even for complex orders. A small percentage (less than 0.5%) of orders are held for review by Wyllo’s expert fraud analysts. Wyllo also offers customizable levels of branded verification.

How does the cardholder Verification/Review process work?

For a limited number of select, high-risk orders, a Wyllo fraud analyst will perform “Cardholder Verification.” This is a customizable, branded process whereby we reach out to the cardholder to confirm the order’s legitimacy. Our process is designed to be as friction-free as possible and enables Wyllo to provide the highest approval rate to its customers. The review process is highly customizable to suit merchant preferences.

Which ecommerce platforms and integrations do you support?

Wyllo provides plugin installation for Shopify, Shopify Plus, and BigCommerce, as well as Adobe Commerce (Magento), Salesforce Commerce Cloud, WooCommerce, Shift4Shop (formerly 3D Cart), Demandware, Volusion, Shopsite, OS Commerce, and all others, through our Direct API integration. Can I integrate pre-gateway with any type of website platform?

A pre-gateway integration is available with any Direct API integration. Hosted platforms such as BigCommerce and Shopify are not compatible with a pre-gateway integration. Shopify, however, does provide many of the benefits of a pre-gateway integration.

How does Wyllo's pricing work?

How does the optional Chargeback Guarantee work? What does it do?

Wyllo provides a credit to your Wyllo account for fraud chargebacks on orders Wyllo screened and passed. The Chargeback Guarantee is not applicable to chargebacks with reason codes such as “item not received” or “item not as described.” Read our Chargeback Guarantee policy here.
